Penny Blake, also known as Pnina, is a composer and singer in Welland, Ontario. Her compositions originate from her roots as a classical singer, her experience teaching voice, and her many years of involvement with choral music, both as a singer and conductor. She has written pieces for solo voice, choral music, music for small ensemble and piano solos.
Her music is informed with a sense of wonder and joy for all creation. Whether secular or sacred, her compositions are written with a fresh, contemporary approach that is beautiful, direct and sensitive to the text.
